Is my disposal leaking or is it the sink?

Leaks come from three places: the top mounting flange, the dishwasher inlet or discharge tube, or the body of the unit itself. Flange and tube leaks are repairable; a leaking body means the unit is done.

Repair or replace — how do you decide?

Jams, reset trips, flange leaks, and bad tubes are worth repairing. A leaking housing, seized bearings, a burned motor, or a unit over ten years old is usually better replaced — and we'll quote both so you choose.
